Faunia Wildlife Park, Madrid – home of lemurs, prairie dogs, etc

September 18, 2013

Here’s an interesting wildlife experience in Madrid…

I went to Faunia a couple of weeks ago. It was kind of shocking to learn that there are so many different kinds of small primates out there.

They let you hang out with some lemurs at one point. And there’s a discount for buying the tickets online a couple of days in advance. Pretty recommendable, even for someone who doesn’t have an incredibly long attention span for this sort of thing.

Bring a sandwich, cause it’s a big park! Also, you may never have a better opportunity to visit Valdebernardo. And maybe that’s a good thing. You can check out the local Mormon temple while you’re there, though.

Anyway, I’ve been working so hard on things I actually get paid for that I haven’t been on here much. New posts soon!

How did I end up in Spain? Why am I still here almost 20 years later? Excellent questions. With no good answer... Anyway, at some point I became a blogger, bestselling author and contributor to Lonely Planet. So there's that. Drop me a line, I'm happy to hear from you.
