Spain to Go, now on Substack

July 7, 2026

Hey hey!

Just a quick update over here.

I haven’t written anything new on this blog the last couple of weeks, but I have been busy. In fact, I’ve got a bit of an announcement: Spain to Go is now a blog of its own over on Substack.

Field and clouds, La Mancha, Spain.

Now, you may know Spain to Go as the best podcast about life in 21st century Spain, with deep dives into the topics that really matter to people moving to (or already living in) Spain.

But now, it’s also a space on Substack. Check out spaintogo.substack.com

What’s going to be on the Spain to Go Substack?

Well, I’m not quite sure yet. I’m thinking it’s a good place to review some older topics I’ve already done here.

One of the tough things about online writing is that I try to make things evergreen. But technically, most of what I write is tied to a time (now) and a place (Madrid, Barcelona, or elsewhere in Spain) that’s constantly changing.

So it’s good to review and update my thinking on important topics from time to time.

With that in mind, here are a few current posts:

And I’ll be doing much more.

So head over there and subscribe. You can also become a paid subscriber over on Substack.

Or if you’d prefer, you can donate to the cause right here.

Thanks to all my supporters, everyone who listens, donates, or writes in.

You make my life a lot better (and more interesting).

Buen día,

Daniel AKA Mr Chorizo.

P.S. I’ve also got a huge life update. You can hear about it right here on the newest episode of the podcast…

About the Author Daniel

How did I end up in Spain? Why am I still here almost 20 years later? Excellent questions. With no good answer... Anyway, at some point I became a blogger, bestselling author and contributor to Lonely Planet. So there's that. Drop me a line, I'm happy to hear from you.
