January 9, 2011

Yes, yes, gentle reader. I know that the n-word is yesterday’s news.

In any case, I didn’t want to leave you without mentioning The N-Word of the Narcissus. It is well known that Joseph Conrad lived in a time in which “facebook” was neither noun nor verb. But what is more, he used the n-word!

But not anymore: “WordBridge Publishing has performed a public service in putting Joseph Conrad’s neglected classic into a form accessible to modern readers.” Enjoy: The N-Word of the Narcissus.

Well, okay.

Also: Heart of Darkness is one of my favorite books, ever. Conrad rocks my world.

About the Author Daniel

How did I end up in Spain? Why am I still here almost 20 years later? Excellent questions. With no good answer... Anyway, at some point I became a blogger, bestselling author and contributor to Lonely Planet. So there's that. Drop me a line, I'm happy to hear from you.
